The Ford Focus is often touted as Ford’s greatest ever small car, first produced in 1998. During its two-decade run, it was offered as a sedan, hatchback, or wagon. It was discontinued in the US after the 2018 model year, with Ford leaning towards the production of crossovers and EVs. For other markets, the Focus is expected to end production in 2025. The Focus is one of Ford’s best-selling models, with peak annual sales of over 540,000 in Europe, over 400,000 in China, and over 280,000 in the US.

With the 2018 Ford Focus, hatchback and sedan variants were offered. Available trims included the S, SE, SEL, and line-topping Titanium. There were two engine options, namely a 123-hp 1.0-liter intercooled turbo I3 and a standard 160-hp 2.0-liter I4. The SEL trim came with a six-speed dual transmission 8-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
